Infrastructure
Creating a blend of enhanced comfort and utility at public spaces, with energy-efficient infrastructure
Public infrastructures like common areas in residential townships, internal roads and streets, and community buildings have constantly shifting dynamics. These spaces are built to last decades with minimal operation and maintenance cost, creating the need for advanced, futuristic MEP solutions, not just a run-of-the-mill design addressing core essentials.
In this scenario, every project is a unique building, considering its geographic, demographic, and physical challenges. Our team of MEP engineers designs individualistic solutions that enhance the aesthetic of the sustainable structure while also maintaining its architectural integrity.
- Identifying the location of major energy consumer points to design Substation and Feeder Pillars that minimise distribution losses
- Plans for future expansion of the project
- Other buildings/spaces in the vicinity
- Planned public utilities by the government in the area
- District cooling pipe network wherever district cooling plant is available
- Location of central water tanks for domestic supply, irrigation and fire reserve
- Conservation of energy using motion-sensing lights and fixtures
- Solar-paneled roofs for meeting energy requirements
- Adequate outdoor lighting that satisfies ASHRAE 90.1 standards
- Construction of corridors on the side of the roads for all utilities.
- SCADA for monitoring and controlling various systems.
- Efficient rainwater handling and harvesting system
- Use of equipment with modular construction to reduce installation and replacement time
Designing the Infrastructure for the Elite Jumeirah Islands
Dubai is renowned across the world for its luxurious and spacious infrastructure, the epitome of ergonomic and sustainable architecture – such as the Jumeirah Islands. Team Consistent had the opportunity to be a part of this magnificent project and contribute to enhancing the sustainable development of 84 villas, townhouses, and a retail plaza on one of the Islands.
Our most significant work here included-
- Design of the Central Vacuum Drainage System to counter the uneven topography of the land and ensure efficient drainage from all villas and community centers.
- Installation of sustainable LED-lights in homes and streetlights to conserve energy and add to the overall aesthetic
Today, the construction industry is witnessing a consistent increase in the use of innovative system design to reduce energy consumption and construction time, while improving quality and reliability.
